Voices of Our Ancestors offers an historical perspective of Tlingit,
Haida and Tsimshian culture and explains the meaning of songs, crests, dances
and regalia featured at Celebration, the largest gathering of Southeast Natives.
The documentary, produced by Sealaska Heritage Institute, includes comments from
Elders on traditions and the importance of perpetuating the culture. It also
shows video of Celebration 2000, the most recent festival. The 2000 event drew
more than 1,700 dancers to Juneau from across the state and the Lower 48 to
