Shim-al-gyack Vocabulary Builder
| A collection of crossword puzzles with Tsimshian themes. The clues are in Shim-al-gyack, and students have to fill in the English translation. Each puzzle is followed by a word-match quiz using the same words in the puzzle to reinforce word-building skills. Students are strongly encouraged to use the Tsimshian Reverse Dictionary or Tsimshian Language CD. Puzzles include themes such as “Fishing Stuff,” “Potlatch Things,” and “Cultural Mix.” Created by Dum Baal-dum®, a Shim-al-gyack language preservation endeavor led by husband-and-wife team Tony and Donna May Roberts of Metlakatla. | Shim-al-gyack Vocabulary Builder  |
