Tsimshian Reverse Dictionary
A user-friendly, reverse dictionary offering English to Shim-al-gyack and Shim-al-gyack to English. The orthography presented in this dictionary was designed for preservation of the Shim-al-gyack language in a form that can be used for learning and/or teaching. To better understand the Shim-al-gyack sounds of this orthography, the authors encourage aspiring speakers to also listen to a teacher, a fluent Elder or the Tsimshian Language CD. Created by Dum Baal-dumŪ, a Shim-al-gyack language preservation endeavor led by husband-and-wife team Tony and Donna May Roberts of Metlakatla. |
