Box of Knowledge
Occasional Papers
SHI
solicits and publishes
essay-length articles in our Box of Knowledge Occasional
Papers series to further education on Alaska Native issues.
Submissions dealing with all aspects of Alaska Native life are welcome,
including history, anthropology, archaeology, art history, political
science, linguistics, sociology, and literature. Consideration will be
given to manuscripts which make a strong contribution to knowledge
through new interpretations and/or new information. Submissions will
also be considered according to topic interest, accuracy, level of
interpretation, and literary quality. SHI recognizes indigenous
knowledge. SHI does not consider reprints or simultaneous submissions.
How to Submit an Article
Articles for consideration must be
submitted to Zachary R. Jones at
zachary.jones@sealaska.com
in Word format. Illustrative materials must be sent in a second email
and attached in a separate file, not embedded in the Word document
manuscript. Papers may be edited for content and style in collaboration
with the author.
