Heritage Study Program
Due to federal funding cutbacks and to a decrease in our scholarship endowment funds because of stock market conditions, SHI’s Heritage Study Grants will not be available for the 2005-2006 year. Please check back in January for the availability of these grants for 2006-2007.

Sealaska Heritage Institute provides grants to established Native organizations or accredited educational institutions to ensure the perpetuation of Southeast Alaska Native arts and cultural practices. These grants are reserved for organizations, not individual applicants. SHI gives funding preference to proposals that address traditional practices and art forms in danger of being lost. Grant applications must be postmarked on or before March 1. For more information contact Sealaska Heritage Institute at (907) 463-4844.
