WINNERS OF SEALASKA JURIED ART SHOW ANNOUNCED

Four artists have taken top awards at the first Sealaska Juried Art Show: Art & At.óow! The winners, chosen by internationally renowned artist Robert Davidson and Northwest Coast art scholar and museum director Aldonoa Jonaitis, are:

BEST OF SHOW- Copper Woman- by Clarissa Hudson

1^st Place- Owl and Humpback Shakee.át- by Richard A. Beasley

2^nd Place- Raven Hat- by Preston Singletary

3^rd Place- Spruce Root Basket, Northern Style Cooking- by Teri Rofkar

The pieces will be exhibited during Celebration 2002 at the Alaska State Museum, a partner in this endeavor. The Sealaska Juried Art Show opens at the Juneau museum on June 5 and runs through Sept. 28.
