Tlingit K-4 Summer
Camp, Juneau
Educators Kitty Eddy, Shgen George, Nancy Douglas and Hans Chester held
a two-week summer camp in August 2003 for children enrolled in the
Tlingit K-4 program at Harborview Elementary in Juneau. The camp was
funded through a 3-year federal grant from the Dept. of Education
awarded to Sealaska Heritage Institute in 2002. The grant also funds
similar camps in Klukwan. (2005
