SEALASKA HERITAGE INSTITUTE HOLD MEETING FOR CELEBRATION VOLUNTEERS

Sealaska Heritage Institute will hold a meeting Wednesday, April 21, to recruit volunteers for Celebration 2004. The meeting is scheduled 4:45-6 p.m. at Centennial Hall, Egan Room.

Celebration has been held in Juneau every two years since 1982 to honor the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian culture and has grown into the largest Native cultural event in Southeast Alaska. Celebration would not be possible without the continued financial support from local businesses and a network of dedicated volunteers.

As a token of appreciation, volunteers who work a minimum of four hours will receive a complimentary, one-day pass to attend any of the Celebration activities. People who sign up in advance also will have their names listed in appreciation of their services in the Celebration 2004 program guide.

People who want to volunteer are encouraged to attend the meeting or contact Donald Gregory at 463-4844 or donald.gregory@sealaska.com for more information.
