Black Seaweed Contest
In 2002, Sealaska Heritage Institute sponsored its first black seaweed contest during Celebration. The winners were:
- Henriette Kato of Klawock, First Prize
- Crystal Duncan of Sitka, Second Prize
- Peggy Williams of Angoon, Third Prize
- Tina Martin of Hoonah, Honorable Mention
- Jerry Moy of Pelican, Honorable Mention
