Juried Art Show 2002 Winners

Sealaska Heritage Institute sponsored its first Juried Art Show in 2002, in partnership with the Alaska State Museum. The goal of the program is to challenge artists to reach new levels in their work and to expand their knowledge and appreciation of the excellence achieved by our forefathers. Nearly 30 Alaska Native artists submitted 86 pieces for the show and jurors selected 18 pieces by 15 artists for exhibit. The following pieces were on display at the museum  through Sept. 28, 2002.
